32 | There are no firearms or ammunition allowed or stored on the premises. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible. All poisons are kept in a locked storage area. LPA observed cleaning supplies stored on an upper shelf in the classroom.
The outside play area is located in the middle of the courtyard. There is drinking water available both indoors and outdoors. LPA observed age-appropriate play equipment in the outside play area. There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises
LPA tested the carbon monoxide detectors and smoke detectors during inspection. LPA observed fire extinguishers and first aid kits in the classroom.
LPA completed file reviews for children and staff. Children and staff files were complete. Infants have proper infant sleeping plans as well as needs & services plans in their files. LPA observed more than one staff with current cpr and pediatric first aid certification. The Assistant Director's CPR card expires 09/2025. LPA observed proper sign in/out documentation. All required Child Care posting were observed in the classroom.
No deficiencies will be cited today.

Facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. |
