25 | On 7/7/2022 Licensing Program Analysts (LPA), Loyce Phillips conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and was met by Licensee, April Marie Estrada-Morgan. LPA observed 5 children in care today with 1 assistant. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:30am to 3:00pm. The facility does not carry liability insurance.
LPA toured the home inside and outside. This is a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom home with living room, dining area and kitchen. The garage has been converted into ADU with full bathroom. The ADU is permitted through the City of Los Angeles.
The areas that are accessible to children: Living room, kitchen, dining area, outdoor patio, backyard and ADU. Licensee is aware that children will only do daily activities in the ADU. Eating, sleeping and toileting are conducted in the main house. The backyard has age appropriate toys.
The areas that are off limits to children: Bedrooms #1, #2, #3, storage room, located behind ADU and dog run located on the side of the home. The bedrooms are made inaccessible by door locks.
No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible to children.
There is a full charged fire extinguisher located in the kitchen. The facility has a working smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detector, inside the home and in the ADU. The facility has adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. There are no stairs in the home. Safe toys and play equipment are observed. Napping equipment observed.
