| Outdoor playground area is in safe condition, free of any sharp, loose, or pointed objects. The surface of the outdoor activity play area is in safe condition and is free of hazards. All areas around or under climbing equipment, swings, slides, and similar equipment are cushioned with materials to absorb any falls. There is adequate shade in the play yard. Availability of outdoor drinking water was observed to be in a two gallon jug. LPA advised that no children shall be left without the supervision of a teacher at any time.
All floors were observed to be clean and safe. All materials accessible to children were observed to be toxic-free.
There are no firearms stored on the premises.
There are no pools or bodies of water on the premises.
Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal background clearance, exemption or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in the childcare center.
Director and present staff are trained in CPR and Pediatric First Aid.
Children’s records were reviewed. The name address, and telephone number of children’s authorized representative are on file. Inspection of required forms were made and documented on LIC 857.
LPA also reviewed staff records. The review of staff records is documented on the LIC 859. Director and present staff did have proof of the mandated reporter training and immunizations on file. All staff have been given on the job training for sanitation, housekeeping, and universal health precautions.
Children’s roster was observed to be current. Disaster drill log was reviewed, last drill was conducted on July 25, 2025.
The facility does provide AM and PM snack, which were recorded on the monthly menu that is also given to parents and displayed on welcome board.
First Aid was observed on the wall next to kitchen entrance. According to director, there are no children that need regular medicine usage.
