On 8/25/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Brittany Lovest conducted an unannounced visit for the purpose of delivering the findings on the above allegations. LPA was greeted by Director Jacquelyn Thompson and toured the facility. LPA observed 13 children in care with 4 staff.

On 6/12/2025 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lovest arrived at Definitely Learning Children for the purpose of investigating the above-mentioned allegations. Upon arrival, LPA met with Jacquelyn Thompson, director, and discussed the purpose of the visit. LPA toured the facility and observed children 21 with 5 staff providing care and supervision. LPA Lovest reviewed children’s roster ,staff roster and a parent handbook. LPA conducted Staff and Children interviews.

On 7/3/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Brittany Lovest conducted a subsequent complaint inspection regarding the above-mentioned allegation. LPA met with Site Administrator,V.Powell.

LPA explained the purpose of the inspection. A census was taken, LPA observed 15 children in care being supervised by 5 fingerprint cleared adults. LPA Lovest toured the facility and conducted an investigative interview.
LPA Lovest conducted parent interviews.

On 8/25/2025 all investigative interviews were completed. Based on the information received and reviewed, LPA observation and interviews completed, no information was disclosed that Staff leave children without supervision, Staff yell at children and Staff use inappropriate form of discipline. These allegations are deemed UNSUBSTANTIATED. A finding that the complaint is unsubstantiated means that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove that the alleged violations did or did not occur.

No deficiencies are being cited in accordance with Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations and/or Health & Safety Codes.

An exit interview was conducted. A copy of this report, appeals rights and a notice of site visit were discussed and provided to Director, Jacquelyn Thompson.
