On 12/9/2025 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Suzette Ornelas conducted an unannounced follow-up complaint inspection for the purpose of delivering findings for the above allegation. Upon arrival, LPA were greeted and let into the facility by Director, ERENDIDA ROMERO, to whom the reason for the inspection was announced. LPA observed 8 staff supervising 49 children.

During the course of the investigation, LPA Ornelas made observations, obtained documentation in the form of children's roster, conducted interviews and obtained copies of documents.

-Pertaining to the allegation that – Staff did not provide adequate supervision, resulting in a day care child sustaining an injury.
According to the Reporting Party (RP), Child 1 (C1) sustained injury in care due to lack of supervision
According to Staff Interviewed during the course of the investigation, staff redirected C1; however, C1 was a little too fast and staff was unable to stop him before sustaining an injury. Staff observed child sustain injury and provided first aid.

According to parents interviewed during the course of the investigation, they have no concerns regarding their children's safety and well being. Parents stated that they like the Child Care Center (CCC) and believe adequate supervision is being provided due to lack of serious injuries.

According to children interviewed during the course of the investigation, children stated that they like their teachers and that their teachers are nice to them and always help them if they hurt themselves, give them a band aid and make sure they are okay.

-Pertaining to the allegation that – Staff did not seek timely medical attention for day care child.
According to the Reporting Party (RP), they were notified via text message when C1 sustained an injury.

According to Staff Interviewed during the course of the investigation, parent was notified of what happened via text shortly after and an ouch report was also written and provided for parent to sign upon pick up upon pickup. Staff stated that when injury initially occurred, it seemed minor.

According to parents interviewed during the course of the investigation, they have no concerns regarding their children's safety and well being. Parents stated that they are very comfortable with the manner which the staff informs them if their child sustained an injury. Parents further stated that for minor injuries they are fine with receiving an ouch report upon pick up and being verbally told, as the CCC does. Parents stated that for something serious, they would like to be called but would not like to be notified for every little scrape. Parents are very happy with the way the school communicates information about their children.

According to children interviewed during the course of the investigation, children stated that they like their teachers and that their teachers are nice to them and always help them if they hurt themselves, give them a band aid and make sure they are okay.

-Pertaining to the allegation that – Staff did not comply with reporting requirements.
According to the Reporting Party (RP), staff did not inform them about C1 injury.
According to Staff Interviewed during the course of the investigation, they sent a text message, completed an ouch report, had parent sign ouch report and verbally went over incident upon pick up.

According to parents interviewed during the course of the investigation, they have always been informed when their child sustains an injury verbally, in writing, or via a phone call. Parents further stated that their children corroborate how they were injured leading parents to feel comfortable.

Based on the evidence as documented above, the allegations have been determined to be Unsubstantiated. A finding that the complaint is unsubstantiated means that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the allegation occurred.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
