 On 11/15/19, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Karren Starks made an unannounced visit for the purpose of conducting a Case Management inspection for a self-reported incident that occurred on 09/13/19. Per the incident Staff 1 was hitting children with a clipboard as the children were going outside. LPA initially met with the Director, Latrice Clark who had to leave the facility for a meeting, Asst. Director, Gwendolyn Lopez was left to assist LPA.

Based on information obtained and interviews conducted. Staff 1 used an acrylic clipboard to count the children by placing it on their heads, the children did not appear to be "whacked". The children did not cry or appear injured by this action.

Staff will not use this practice to count children.

No deficiency cited.
