25 | On 3/9/2023 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Suzette Ornelas conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and was met by Licensee, MAHA ALALI. Also present were Licensees 2 Assistants. Days and hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00pm.
LPA toured the home inside and outside and a census was taken. LPA observed 11 children and 3 adults. Current facility sketch reviewed and all areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected. The Living room (Classroom 2), Family Room (Classroom 1), Bathroom located on the left side of the home which is accessible from the family room (Classroom 1), Single unit in the back that is detached from the main house which will be used as activity room, and activity room bathroom are all on limits and accessible to children in care. The 2 bedrooms and the bathroom that is located in the hallway to the right of the living room (Classroom 2) when entering the facility, the attached garage and kitchen are off limits to the day care children and made inaccessible by a locked doors and baby gates. The detached unit in the back of the house will be used for activities only. Applicant understands that no eating and napping will be allowed in the detached unit in the back. Licensee is aware that at no time children are to nap behind closed doors. Children have access to the back yard for activities. The Fire Extinguishers (2A-10-BC) are mounted on the wall in the living room (Classroom 2) and the Activity Room. There is a working smoke/carbon monoxide detector located in living room (Classroom 2), family room (Classroom 1) and activity room. The required carbon monoxide detectors and smoke detectors are in operable condition.
The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. The First Aid kit was observed and complete. Per LIS the facility annual fees are current. The facility roster was observed, and current. There are age appropriate toys and napping equipment on the premises. Licensee has posted as required the License, and all other required postings in a visible location.
