25 | On 1/3/2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Adrian Risher conducted an Annual Inspection. LPA provided Licensee with the purpose of the visit and was granted access to the facility. LPA met with Teryll Maynard, Licensee. LPA toured the inside and outside of the property. LPA observed the home to be clean, safe, orderly and well ventilated. There were 3 children present at the time of inspection. The operating hours are Monday thru Friday 7am to 6pm.
LPA observed the home to have a Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, 2 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms. The Licensee utilizes the Bedroom 1, Living Room and Dining Room areas as the day-care. The rest of the home is inaccessible to the children. Bedroom 1 is used as the playroom. The Living Room is used for daily activities, circle time and playing. The dining room is used for eating. The children used play pens and cots for naptime in Bedroom 1. LPA observed age appropriate toys and equipment for the children.
Licensee states that there are no weapons in the home. Licensee reports that there are 2 pets in the home. The kitchen and bathroom areas were inspected for proper storage of chemicals, detergents, cleaning compounds, medications and sharp pointed objects. These items were made inaccessible to children. Kitchen drawers were made inaccessible to children in care. A wall heater was observed with proper screening. The fireplace is properly screened as well. Licensee stated air conditioners are used to keep the home cool during warmer weather. LPA observed operable smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors in the home. The home is equipped with 1 (2-A:10-B:C) Fire Extinguisher and First Aid kit which includes thermometer and band aids.
LPA inspected the outside area and observed age appropriate toys. There are no bodies of water at the home. The outside play area is gated all around.
