25 | On 01/21/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Adrian Risher conducted an Annual Inspection. LPA provided Licensee with the purpose of the visit and was granted access to the facility. LPA met with Teryll Maynard, Licensee. LPA toured the inside and outside of the property with the Licensee. LPA observed the home to be clean, safe, orderly and well ventilated. There was 1 child present upon arrival with 1 additional child arriving while LPA was conducting the inspection. The operating hours are Monday thru Friday 7am to 7:30pm.
LPA observed the home to have a Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, 2 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms. The Licensee utilizes Bedroom 1, living room, dining room and Bathroom 1 as the day-care. The rest of the home is inaccessible to the children. Bedroom 1 and the living room are used for daily activities and napping. The children eat in the dining room and kitchen. LPA observed cots and playpens that are used for napping. Bedroom 1 is used as the isolation area.
Licensee states that there are no weapons in the home. Licensee reports there are 2 dogs in the home. The dogs remain outside.
The kitchen and bathroom areas were inspected for proper storage of chemicals, detergents, cleaning compounds, medications and sharp pointed objects. These items were made inaccessible to children. Cleaning supplies are stored in locked cabinet in the kitchen.
LPA observed electrical outlets with protective covers.
LPA observed operable smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors throughout the home which were tested during inspection. The home is equipped with 1 (2-A:10-B:C) Fire Extinguisher and First Aid kit which includes thermometer and band aids. A wall heater was observed with proper screening. The fireplace in the living room was properly screened. Licensee stated she uses portable A/C and heaters to keep the home cool or warm.
