Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Warren Birks conducted an unannounced complaint inspection to deliver findings for the above allegations. LPA met with Licensees Ashley Nunes and Marva Nunes who were providing care for 10 preschool children.

During the course of this investigation, LPA interviewed five children, Licensee Marva and Ashley Nunes and adult individuals connected to the facility. LPA received no disclosures regarding the following allegations: (Uncleared adult in the home; Licensee not providing adequate food service; and Licensee putting children in time out for an excessive amount of time). Note: the alleged victim was not made available for interview.

On three surprise visits, LPA observed no uncleared adults in the home. LPA also observed children eating various afterschool snacks. LPA observed plenty of food available for children in the kitchen and refrigerator. Some children did not know an exact time for timeouts given to the alleged victim however, two children indicated 5 minutes. LPA received no other information to substaintiate the allegations. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur. Therefore, at this time the allegation is Unsubstantiated.

The Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) – must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00. Exit interview conducted with Licensees Ashley and Marva Nunes. Appeal Rights provided and explained.
