On 07/27/2026, LPA Clayton conducted an unannounced visit to the My Sunshine Preschool, to deliver the findings on a complaint. LPA Clayton was greeted by Director Shan Silva. LPA Clayton toured the facility for a Health and Safety inspection and observed 7 children being cared for and supervised by 3 fingerprint cleared staff.

On 05/13/2026, El Segundo Child Care Regional Office received a complaint alleging the following:
• PERSONAL RIGHTS: Staff left a day-care child in a soiled diaper for a long period of time.

On 05/18/2026 LPA Clayton conducted the 10-day visit, toured the CCC inside and outside for a Health and Safety Inspection, reviewed children’s files and interviewed staff.

On 07/24/2026, LPA Clayton concluded parent/authorized representative interviews.

Based on investigative interviews with parents and staff, and LPA’s document review, NO information was disclosed that facility violated children’s personal rights. No information was disclosed that Staff left a day-care child in a soiled diaper for a long period of time, therefore, the allegations are UNSUBSTANTIATED, meaning although the allegations may have happened or are valid, the preponderance of the evidence standard has not been met.

Exit interview was conducted with Director Shan Silva, and a copy of the report was provided with a Notice of Site.
