On 3/11/25, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) V. Wheatley conducted an inspection regarding the above allegation. LPA arrived at the facility and learned it is closed for the week due to staff training. LPA met with Director of Operations, Christopher Nwani who arrived at the facility. The licensee/director is unavailable today. LPA did not observe any children on the premises.

LPA interviewed Mr. Nwani regarding the above allegation who admitted that a day care child was left on a bus after the children returned from a field trip on February 28, 2025. The child was found safe. Mr. Nwani states that two staff members were responsible for the child being left on the bus and they were suspended for 3 days without pay. Mr. Nwani also informed the LPA that the staff are all taking training this week regarding proper supervision which must be completed before they return to work on Monday, March 17, 2025.

The facility is being cited a Type A violation for Lack of Care and Supervision. See LIC 9099D. The facility is being assessed a civil penalty for absence of supervision.
