25 | On 07/03/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lisa Clayton made an unannounced visit to the Baranova Family Child Care Home to conduct the Annual Required inspection. This facility is approved to provide childcare services for children of military families. LPA was greeted by teacher Sarah Bellous. The licensee Albina Baranova arrived shortly after. LPA Clayton observed 6 children in care. Per Licensee the hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm. Licensee provides snacks, water and juice.
LPA Clayton toured the home inside and outside for a Health and Safety inspection. The home has working telephone and LPA Clayton confirmed the number is (310) 627-7391.
LPA confirmed that this is a duplex with 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, living/dining room, kitchen, and fenced side yard.
The ON LIMIT AREAS are as follows: living/dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and fenced side yard. The ISOLATION AREA will be in the living room.
The OFF-LIMIT AREAS are as follows: bedroom #1, gated back yard all of which are inaccessible to children in care by closed and/or locked doors and visual supervision.
Furniture and equipment are in good condition and free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts.
There are no pools, ponds or any other bodies of water on the premises. There are no firearms or ammunition on the premises.
The home has a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher in the kitchen, working smoke detector /carbon monoxide detector combo in the living/dining room.
