LPA Gil interviewed staff member S1 on 2/27/2026 in the blue room regarding whether the child involved required assistance when using the restroom. S1 stated that the child wears pull-ups and confirmed awareness of the complaint. S1 further stated that S1 has never engaged in any inappropriate conduct with a child. When asked about the facility’s bathroom policy, S1 explained that S1 escorts children to the restroom and provides assistance with wiping when necessary.
LPA Gil also interviewed additional staff present (S2) in the blue room on 2/27/2026. When asked whether S2 had ever witnessed or been involved in any inappropriate behavior by staff while assisting children in the restroom, S2 stated that S2 had not. S2 added that only five children in the classroom require assistance with wiping and wearing pull-ups.
During the observation, LPA Gil noted that staff escort children to the restroom and remain near the entrance while children use the restroom.
Based on observations and interviews conducted, the allegation may have occurred or may be valid; however, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove that the alleged violation did or did not occur. Therefore, the allegation is determined to be unsubstantiated.
A Notice of Site Visit was provided and must remain posted for 30 days.
