25 | On 9/13/2024 at 11:30, Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Raul Navarro and Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Amelia Morales conducted an unannounced Case Management visit to this facility. Upon arrival, LPM and LPA met with Director Diana Curi and site supervisor Ilce Alvarez who guided LPM and LPA on a tour of the facility. There were 34 children with 6 staff observed present in the preschool program. LPM and LPA explained the purpose of today's visit to follow-up on an incident that was reported to Community Care Licensing (CCL) on 09/10/2024.
The Reporting Party alleged that a tenant on the same building as the preschool constructed a stove, oven and full kitchen in a former office, directly in front of the classrooms. Reporting Party is concerned that the kitchen may cause a fire hazard and could potentially be a risk to the health and safety of the children in care.
During the inspection LPM and LPA took a tour of the room specified by the reporting party that is used as full kitchen. LPM and LPA observed a stove, however there was no gas line attached to the stove, making it inoperable. LPM and LPA took photos of the room during the inspection and collected a facility sketch. Per Director and Reporting Party the office is not part of the child care and is being rented by the Synagogue.
Based on LPM and LPAs observation and documentation, the facility is in compliance therefore, there are no citations being issued today. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
An exit interview was conducted with the Director Diana Curi and a copy of this report was provided along with the Appeal Rights. |
