| restlessness, or labored breathing. Infants sleeping in a separate room remain within visual observation through an open door. Infants up to 12 months of age are placed on their backs to sleep. The Individual Infant Sleeping Plan (LIC 9227) was reviewed.
LPA reviewed two personnel files and verified that the Licensee and assistant have a current Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification, completed on 11/20/2025, and a Mandated Reporter Training certificate, completed on 06/05/2024. LPA reminded the Licensee that Pediatric CPR/First Aid training must be completed through EMSA-approved providers. LPA also reminded the Licensee that Mandated Reporter Training must be renewed every two years.
LPA reviewed six children's files and found them to be complete. LPA provided the Licensee with the “Safe Sleep for Your Baby” brochure (NIH Pub. No. 12-7040) and a sample sleep log for review.
The Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 years and older living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers (except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871), must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer an existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in the home. Failure to comply will result in a civil penalty of $100 per day, per person, for up to 5 days—or up to 30 days for repeat violations.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was reviewed. For IMS information, Licensee was referred to PIN 22-02-CCP. Information regarding the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was provided, including the U.S. Department of Justice ADA Information Line and the publication Commonly Asked Questions About Child Care Centers and the ADA.
The Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website, a consumer education resource that connects families with child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies throughout California.
Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3 of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies were cited during today’s inspection.
An exit interview was conducted and reviewed with Licensee Johana Perez. A copy of this report was discussed and left with Licensee. A Notice of Site Visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with the posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
