25 | On 3/13/2024 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Loyce Phillips conducted an announced visit to conduct the Required 3-year and capacity increase inspection. The facility is requesting to increase from a small to a large. The Fire Inspection STD 850 was approved on 2/21/2024. LPA was met by Licensee Karin Davis and toured the facility. There was 1 child present today and Licensee's mother. All adults have a criminal record clearance. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday 6:00am to 6:00pm. The facility currently has liability insurance.
LPA toured inside and outside the facility. This is a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom home with living room, dining area, kitchen and den. The garage has been converted into in 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom ADU.
The areas that are accessible to children: Living room, dining area, bedroom #1, back/side yard for outdoor play.
The areas that are off limits to children: bedrooms #2, kitchen, den area and ADU. The grass area in the backyard is also off limits to children.
There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises. There are no firearms or ammunition allowed or stored on the premises. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible to children.
There is a full charged fire extinguisher located in the day care area serviced on 2/10/2024. The facility has a working smoke and carbon monoxide detector, inside the home. The facility has adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. Safe toys, materials and play equipment were observed indoors and outdoors. LPA observed First Aid kit located in day care room. Children nap on cots and infants sleep in pack n' plays.
