LPA toured inside and outside the facility. This is a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom home with living room, dining area, kitchen and den. The garage has been converted into in 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom ADU.

The areas that are accessible to children: Living room, dining area, bedroom #1, back/side yard for outdoor play.

The areas that are off limits to children: bedrooms #2, kitchen, den area and ADU. The grass area in the backyard is also off limits to children.

There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises. There are no firearms or ammunition allowed or stored on the premises. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible to children.

There is a full charged fire extinguisher located in the day care area serviced on 2/10/2024. The facility has a working smoke and carbon monoxide detector, inside the home. The facility has adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. Safe toys, materials and play equipment were observed indoors and outdoors. LPA observed First Aid kit located in day care room. Children nap on cots and infants sleep in pack n' plays. The home has working telephone service and LPA confirmed the phone number is 323-758-1970. 809-C

Licensee’s Mandated Reporter Training was completed on 6/28/2022. Licensee’s pediatric CPR/First Aid was completed on 7/29/2022. A review of records indicates that Licensee have immunization records on file for influenza, pertussis and measles.

Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

Safe Sleep - LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with Licensee, Karin Davis and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at:https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-andresources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.

MyChildCarePlan.org – Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.

Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies are cited, technical advisories discussed.

Licensee is approve for a capacity increase.

An exit interview was conducted, a copy of this report was read and provided to the Licensee. This report shall me made available to the public upon request. LIC 9213 Notice of Site Visit was provided and required to be posted for 30 days.
