32 | During the investigation LPA conducted interviews with staff and parents. LPA also inspected children's drinking water containers. LPA picked up the children's water container and poured water onto hand and confirmed that the drinking water is cool to the touch. LPA did not observe any children that showed signs of having Covid 19 throughout the investigation visits conducted.
During the investigation the director stated that children are provided cold drinking water every morning and they have not had a Covid 19 case in the facility since 2021.
Staff interviewed stated that the children's drinking water is filled every morning with cold water and throughout the day if necessary. Staff also disclosed they have water pitchers that are kept in the refrigerator and use them to pour water into children's cups when needed. Staff did not have any knowledge of children being sick of Covid 19 within the last year.
During parent interviews parents did not disclose any concerns of their children's level of care in the facility or any Covid 19 concerns.
Based on the interviews and observation noted although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated
Exit interview was conducted, appeal rights provided, and report was reviewed with the Director Shantil Alexander.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. |
