32 | Per Reporting Party, Staff 1 was observed handling Child 1 in a rough manner and heavy-handedly patting other child in care. Reporting Party was not able to provide identifying information for the other child.
During the interview with the Director, it was disclosed that the Director was present at the time of the alleged
incident and no such behavior was observed of Staff 1 handling Child 1 in a rough manner or patting an infant heavy handedly. Staff 1 was described as someone who is sweet and loving with the kids and a good employee. There have been no prior concerns involving Staff 1 handling children in a rough manner. Child 1 did not sustain injuries as a result of the alleged incident.
During the interview of Staff 1, Staff 1 denied handling Child 1 in a rough manner and also denied patting an infant heavy-handedly. During the interview of Staff 2, Staff 2 also disclosed that they were present at the time of the alleged incident and no such behavior was observed of Staff 1 handling Child 1 in a rough manner or patting an infant heavy handedly.
Parents interviewed did not present concerns and were pleased with the services and care being provided to their children.
Based on the investigation conducted, there is insufficient evidence to support the above-mentioned allegation to be true. Therefore, although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is Unsubstantiated.
The Notice of Site Visit was provided and must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00. Exit interview was conducted with Petrena Wisdom and Appeals Rights provided. |
