| LPA inspected the bathrooms located across the hallway. LPA observed adequate toilets and sinks to accommodate the facility’s capacity. LPA observed the toilets flushing properly. There is adequate lighting/ventilation in the bathroom area.
The facility provides snacks. LPA observed a menu posted on the parent board. There is a central kitchen located on the property. The kitchen will bring the snacks to the classroom.
There are no firearms or ammunition allowed or stored on the premises. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible. All poisons are kept in a locked storage area. Cleaning supplies are stored in a locked cabinet in the classroom. Medications will be stored in a lock box once children are enrolled in the after school program. The facility has one or more functioning fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors that meet statutory requirements.
Outdoor equipment was inspected for safety, cushioning material, good repair and age appropriateness. LPA observed the required shade, drinking water and fencing were inspected. The play area was inspected for hazards and inaccessibility to bodies of water. There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises. The outdoor play area is located behind the building.
Facility representative stated the facility does not have any children enrolled in the program. The facility does not have any staff at this time. LPA did not review disaster and fire drill logs or sign in & out sheets since the facility has not had any children enrolled since the license was issued in 2021.
No deficiencies will be cited today.
