25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lilia Hernandez conducted an unannounced annual required inspection to the above facility on 08/15/2023. LPA arrived at the facility at 10:47AM, identified self and met with Lucine Mirzoyan, Licensee who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. There were 9 children present at arrival. Also present was Staff #1 (S1). LPA was later met with Licensee adult daughter, who is associated to the facility. LPA provided Licensee with a copy of the LIC 125 Entrance Checklist to help facilitate the inspection. Facility operation hours are Monday to Monday from 12:01 AM to 11:59 PM.
The family child care home is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, living room, dining room, and kitchen. LPA toured the home inside and outside and a census was taken. Current facility sketch reviewed, and Licensee confirmed that one bedroom, one bathroom and living room are used for providing care and are accessible to children. All other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by use of safety door knobs.
LPA observed no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises. Per Licensee, there are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. All poisons are kept in a locked storage area. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible.
The fireplace located in the living room is made inaccessible by a screen. Per Licensee, fireplace is not used and a shelf to store children’s toys and books is placed in front of the fireplace. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector (livingroom) and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort.
There are currently no infants in care. LPA discussed Safe Sleep Regulations with licensee. ---page 1 of 3 |
