32 | Per reporting party, their child was left in a very wet and saggy pull-up and obtained a diaper rash.
When interviewed, S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, and S6 all explained that they follow a diaper-changing schedule, change diapers as needed, and maintain a diaper-changing/potty learning log. All staff members interviewed denied that any child was left in a wet diaper.
When interviewed, P1, P2, and P3 all stated that their children had been potty trained at this school shortly after enrollment. No parent had any issues with diaper rashes.
The second allegation indicates that "Staff did not ensure day care child's hygiene needs were being met. "
Per reporting party, despite giving two pairs of shirts and shorts, their child was left in dirty clothes with food spills.
When interviewed, S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, and S6 all explained that the school follows a policy that encourages messiness and risky play. All parents are informed of this prior to enrollment. All of the children go home with stains due to projects and food. However, staff explained that the school is cautious about the children washing their hands and that the messiness is not beyond acceptable boundaries.
When interviewed, P1, P2, and P3 all explained that they are aware of the school's policy and dress their children in clothing that can get messy. During pick-up, the children do have messy clothes, but the mess is within an acceptable level.
Based on information obtained from interviews conducted and documentation reviewed, there is insufficient evidence to support the above-mentioned allegations to be true. Therefore, although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations Unsubstantiated.
