25 | On 7/07/2022 at 1:45 pm Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Deborah Lowe, conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection for the preschool license. LPA met with Executive Director, Mariya Kupchyan, and toured the facility indoors and outdoors. Days and hours of operation are Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
At 1:45 pm LPA Lowe observed 14 children resting on cots supervised by 1 fully qualified teacher and 1 teacher assistant.
Furniture and equipment was observed to be in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. All toilets and handwashing facilities were observed to be in safe and sanitary operating condition. Floors in the facility are clean and safe.
LPA Lowe observed disinfectants, cleaning solutions, and other hazardous items are made inaccessible. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Facility currently has no children with medication.
Facility does not have a kitchen, food preparation and storage located in the classroom was observed to be clean, free of litter/rubbish and free of rodents/vermin. Solid waste storage containers have tight-fitting covers and are in good repair. Drinking water is available both indoors and outdoors.
LPA Lowe observed the playground equipment to be in safe condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space was observed to be maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. The area around high climbing equipment and slide was observed to be with woodchips. Stairs located to the east of the playground was observed with child gate blocking access for children. No swimming pool or other bodies of water were observed at the facility. The facility is free of flies, insects and rodents. Executive Director stated they have a pest control service. Facility has one or more functioning carbon monoxide detectors that meet statutory requirements. LPA verified carbon monoxide detectors is included in the facilities Fire Life Safety system.
