On 2/24/22 at 9:00 am Licensing Program Analyst Lisa Rios went to the Torrence Family Child Care home for a capacity increase inspection for a large family child care . The facility has a completed 850 Fire Inspection report, a pull down fire alarm with light was added, no corrections are needed to the home. Days and hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 7:30-5:30 serving children 3 months-6 years old.

LPA Rios completed a tour of the home inside and outside as well. The children enter in the morning through a side gate on the right side of the house. There are Covid-19 posters on the window on the side of the house and a wellness station with masks, hand sanitizer and a thermometer for temperature checks. Home is found to be in substantial compliance. LPA Rios gave the licensee an LIC311D and went over required forms needed in the children's files and most required forms are present including infant napping checks and required licensing posted forms. The licensee will increase capacity for 12 children and a flyer was given to show how many children and their ages can be admitted to care.

Inside the home has substantial toys and equipment for the increase in children. There is a play area gated for infants in the living room. The bedroom on the first floor is set up for child care of older children with a changing table and bathroom for children. There is a table and chairs and 3 high chairs for eating. The kitchen is gated off from the on limits area and all is made inaccessible to children in care. There are 3 pack n plays for napping infants, there are 3 infants enrolled at this time. There are 10 mats for older children to nap on.

A copy of this report will be given to the licensee and a new license will be emailed and sent in the mail.
