On 07/07/2021 at 3:08 P.M. Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Chandler met with applicant S.Perera for the purpose of measuring the Village Park Preschool. The applicant is requesting a capacity of 60 preschoolers ages two years until entry into first grade. LPA measured a total of 5 class rooms as follows;

Library (next to entry) = 80.358 (with 7.23 encumbered area)
Computer area (small area in front of library) = 40.25
Center play area = 325.92
Room 1 = 320.07
Room 2= 344.52
Room 3 = 376.081 (broke down into two sections; a rectangle in the sink area and the large square are of the classroom.

The total for the indoor activity space measurements = 1487.199 divided by 35 SQ.FT for a total of 42 children


The outdoors area measurements = 2015.52 for a total of 26 children

Sink counted= 8 for a total of 120 children

Toilets counted = 6 for a total of 90 Children

Based on todays measurements the facility will be recommended for a capacity of 42 children determined by the indoor activity space.

Applicant is requesting a waiver of Title 22 section 101238.2 (a) Outdoor Activity Space There shall be at least 75 square feet per child of outdoor activity space based on the total licensed capacity.

As of today's inspection the shall complete minor construction repairs and secure an occupancy certificate

A subsequent inspection will made prior to licensure

An exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report was provided to the applicant.
