25 | On 7/20/2023, Licensing Program Analyst(s) Sarah Garcia and Judy Laureano conducted a case management visit for the purpose of a capacity increase. LPA(s) met with licensee Jacquline Toro and spouse Elena Toro. LPA (s) observed (1) adult. LPA(s) observed no children in care because of summer break. Normal hours of operation are Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5pm and Friday 8:30am-12:30pm. Facility is licensed to care for children 6 months to 4 years old.
The single family home has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathroom, living room, kitchen, and garage. The ON LIMITS area include day care room, living room, kitchen, bathroom #1, and outdoor play area. The OFF LIMITS areas include the master bedroom #1, bedroom #2, bedroom #3, bathroom #2, and the garage.
LPA(s) inspected a daycare room and observed safe toys, playpens and cots for sleeping. Licensee provides breakfast, snack, and lunch. LPA(s) observed a barricaded fireplace. Day care room is clean and orderly. The living room and kitchen were inspected and LPA(s) observed safety locks ensuring all poisons, medications, detergents, and cleaning supplies are inaccessible. LPA (s) inspected the bathroom #1 and observed no hazards. LPA(s) observed a charged fire extinguisher, and smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. LPA(s) observed bedroom #1 and #2 and observed (2) dogs. LPA(s) discussed pet plan with licensees. Licensee stated the dogs are locked in off limits bedrooms during hours of operation and taken out twice a day. LPA(s) observed a fire and earthquake drill log. LPA(s) inspected the master bedroom #3 and observed the sliding door leading to the outdoor area which is locked during day care hours. LPA(s) inspected the outdoor play area. The outdoor area is gated on surrounding sides and is under supervision at all times. The outdoor area is observed to be clean, safe, and free from loose or sharp objects.
