32 | LPA Lipsey observed a working carbon monoxide/smoke detector in the and childcare room, LPA was able to hear a successful test. Fire extinguisher was observed and located on the wall and was serviced on 8/5/26. Electrical outlets were observed to be inaccessible to children in care with electrical cap covers. The home was observed to be clean and orderly with heating and ventilation. LPA observed safe toys, play equipment, and materials. LPA verified the home has a working cell service.
LPA observed the outdoor area to be fenced and free from hazards with multiple play equipment in good repair. The ADU is right next to the in-ground pool. There are 2 windows in the ADU that have direct access to the pool and spa. However, the windows have security bars on them to prevent access to the pool and spa. The pole mesh fence measures 5 feet, it has a self-closing gate with a self-latching lock that is 4 inches from the top of the fence. There were no gaps on the bottom of the fence and the gaps from the wall measured 2.5 inches. The pool is surrounded by the property wall, a garage, the main house, and the 5-inch fence. The pool alarm did not sound when the water was disturbed and there was not a rescue pole with body hook nor life ring present. Per licensee, they were not aware of the new law regarding the pool requirement. LPA supplied the licensee with a copy of the regulation. Photos were taken of the pool to put in the file. LPA did not observe any bodies of water on the premises. LPA did not observe any pets on the premises.
Children’s records were reviewed for (LIC) 282- Affidavit Regarding Liability Insurance, Immunizations Records, LIC 700- Identification and Emergency Information, LIC 627- Consent for Medical Treatment, and LIC 995A Notification of Parents’ Rights. All forms were present except, LIC 9150 Parent Notification.
Staff records were reviewed for approved Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification, LIC 9052- Employee Rights, Proof of immunizations against measles, pertussis and influenza or influenza declination, TB clearance or risk assessment, LIC 9108- Statement Acknowledging Requirement to Report Child Abuse and current Mandated Reporter Training Certificate. All files were deemed complete. Licensee’s pediatric CPR/First Aid was completed on 5/5/25. Mandated Reporter Training Completed on 11/8/25.
On this date, 8/17/26, the California Attorney General - Megan's Law website was searched for information on sex offenders required to register with local law enforcement under California's Megan's Law. No registered sex offenders were found at the facility addresses. Under state law, some registered sex offenders are not subject to public disclosure; therefore, they may not have been included in this search. page 2 |
