On 6/21/23 at 3PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) V. Wheatley conducted an unnannounced inspection regarding the above above allegations. LPA met with Director Shirley Becker & Assistant Director Tanya Taure (Squier). LPA toured the inside and outside of the infant program. LPA observed 9 children in the Roly Poly room with three teachers Staff #1, #2 and #3. LPA observed the 10 children int he butterfly classroom with Staff #4, #5, #6.

LPA toured classroom Roly Poly and observed the infant napping area. LPA observed a crib cluttered with items and boxes were stacked on the side of the crib in the napping area. This is a possible hazard to the children. In addition, LPA observed two cabinets in the classroom that were unorganized.

Based on LPA's observance and interviews, the above allegation is substantiated. A substantiated finding means that the complaint is substantiated and the allegation is valid because the preponderance of the evidence standard has been met. An exit interview was conducted. A copy of report will be provided.

On 6/21/23 at 3PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) V. Wheatley conducted an unnannounced inspection regarding the above above allegations. LPA met with Director Shirley Becker & Assistant Director Tanya Taure (Squier). LPA toured the inside and outside of the infant program. LPA observed 9 children in the Roly Poly room with three teachers Staff #1, #2 and #3. LPA observed the 10 children int he butterfly classroom with Staff #4, #5, #6. LPA observed the classrooms well ventilated and room temperature appropriate. The building is equipped with air condition and fans.

LPA interviewed the directors and staff who deny the allegations. Staff state that the toys are sanized throuout the day and at the end of the day. The toys are washed, floors are vacuumed and mopped.
LPA observed bottles clean, bottles labeled, food stored properly, age appropriate toys in good condition.
LPA observed the staff within required teacher-child ratio and proper supervision.

Director will ensure that the classroom is cleaned and organized at all times. The director will meet with the staff regarding the correction. A plan of correction will be submitted to the Department by 6/28/23 with the corrections.

This was evidenced by: LPA observed the napping area with a crib filled with boppys and other items. Also empty boxes next to the crib. In addition, LPA observed two cabinets that need to be organized. This is a potential risk to the health and safety of children in care.
