25 | On March 13, 2022 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jillinda Chandler made an announced visit to Kidtopia Early Learning Center for the purpose of reviewing recommended corrections during a previous inspection conducted on 2/10/2022. During the previous inspection The following corrections were recommended:
- Infant napping area needed to be barricaded. LPA observed a retractable mesh gate was put in place making the area inaccessible to non-napping children.
- Potty chairs were to be provided for children in the potty training stages. LPA observed 2 potty chairs, 1 potty chair to every 5 children.
- Padding was added to the pillar in the infant activity area
- Shading and age appropriate chairs and resilient cushioning were observed in the outdoor activity area.
- planks and metal sheathing were added to to prevent gaps and openings in the gate.
Based on todays inspection and approval of the outdoor waiver, LPA recommends the center to be licensed for a capacity of 6 infants determined by the indoor activity spaces of 214.26 divided by 35 SQ. FT. per child = 6 infants. . Applicant is only allowed to have 3 infants that are required to sleep in a crib.
Measurements for the outdoor activity areas was 312.35 divided by 75 sq. ft. per child for capacity total of 4 children utilizing the outdoor activity area at one given time.The director was advised to request a waiver for Title 22, section 101238.2 for the purpose of complying with the required outdoor activity space per |
