25 | On 02/29/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Adrian Risher conducted a 3 Year Required Inspection. LPA provided the purpose of the visit and was granted access to the facility. LPA met with Torrey Barnette, Assistant. LPA toured the inside and outside of the property with the Assistant. LPA observed the home to be clean, safe, orderly and well ventilated. There were 5 children present with 3 staff. The operating hours are Monday thru Friday 4am to 11pm
LPA observed the home to have a Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, 4 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms. The Licensee utilizes the den and Bedroom 4 as the day-care. The rest of the home is inaccessible to the children. The children do daily activities, eat and nap in the den. Bedroom 4 is used for school age and learning activities. LPA observed cots that are used for napping. The isolation area will be Bedroom 4.
There are no weapons in the home. There is 1 dog in the home.
The kitchen and bathroom areas were inspected for proper storage of chemicals, detergents, cleaning compounds, medications and sharp pointed objects. These items were made inaccessible to children. Kitchen/bathroom cabinets were made inaccessible to children in care. LPA observed cleaning supplies in the bathroom and the kitchen. The cleaning supplies were stored in a cabinet with a safety lock attached.
LPA observed electrical outlets with protective covers.
LPA observed operable smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors throughout the home which were tested during inspection. The home is equipped with 1 (2-A:10-B:C) Fire Extinguisher and First Aid kit which includes thermometer and band aids. The home has central air and heat. LPA observed the fireplace properly screened in the living room.
