25 | On 04/02/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Adrian Risher conducted an Annual Inspection. LPA provided Licensee with the purpose of the visit and was granted access to the facility. LPA met with Daniel Brown, Licensee. LPA toured the inside and outside of the property with the Licensee. LPA observed the home to be clean, safe, orderly and well ventilated. There were 4 children in care with 2 staff. The operating hours are 24 hours and 7 days a week.
LPA observed the home to have a Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, 4 bedrooms, and 2 1/2 bathrooms. The Licensee utilizes the areas as the day-care. The rest of the home is inaccessible to the children. The daycare will consist of living room, dining room, Bedroom 1, Bedroom 2 and Bathroom 1. These areas were inspected by living room. The other bedrooms and rooms are considered off-limits and inaccessible. The living room is used for daily activities. The dining room is used for eating. Bedroom 1 is used as a classroom setting and for napping. Bedroom 2 is used as an isolation area when needed. Bathroom 1 is located inside of Bedroom 1. Cots and playpens are used for napping.
Licensee states that there are no weapons in the home. Licensee reports that there are no pets in the home.
The kitchen and bathroom areas were inspected for proper storage of chemicals, detergents, cleaning compounds, medications and sharp pointed objects. These items were made inaccessible to children. LPA observed a safety gate at the entrance of the kitchen.
LPA observed electrical outlets with protective covers.
LPA observed operable smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors throughout the home which were tested during inspection. The home is equipped with 1 (2-A:10-B:C) Fire Extinguisher and First Aid kit which includes thermometer and band aids. The home a central air and heat.
