On January 9, 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), V. Wheatley and conducted a case management inspection and was met by Licensee, Indrani Rajapakse. The licensee's assistant and daughter, Staff #1 was also present. The purpose of the inspection is for an increase in capacity from small license to a large license.

LPA toured the home inside and outside. LPA observed 4 children on the premises of which 3 are under 2 years old. Licensee would like to include an additional room to be used for the day care. There are three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The licensee is currently using the living room and family room for child care. Licensee is requesting to use the master bedroom for napping only. LPA inspected the master bedroom and it is safe and is being approved to use. The bathroom inside of the master bedroom will not be used for the children. LPA observed two play pens for the two infants that are enrolled.

LPA reviewed the files. The licensee's CPR/first aid expires 10/2025. The licensee's Mandated Reporter Training expires 5/2024.

LPA inspected the outdoor area and observed a small dog behind a fence which is inaccessible to children. Licensee was advised to keep the dog food inaccessible to children.

LPA observed the home in full Title 22 Regulations compliance. No deficiencies observed.

A license for 14 capacity will be granted by the Department when the internal document is received from the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Licensee states the home was inspected by the Gardena Fire Department prior to Christmas holiday.

Exit interview. A copy of this report will be provided to the licensee.
