32 | Licensee stated there was a visitor that came to the daycare to do an inspection. Licensee stated the visitor was yelling during the inspection and the licensee tried to calm the visitor down. Licensee does not raise her voice especially when children are present. Children stated the visitor was attempting to talk to the children in care. The visitor ignored the licensee’s request to bring her voice down. Parents stated the licensee notified parents about the incident the same day that it happened. The licensee wanted to speak to the visitor outside so they were not being loud in front of the children in care. Licensee made several attempts to get the visitor to bring her voice down while the visitor was in front of the children.
A full investigation was conducted which included observations and interviews. Although the allegations may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the above alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations of Record Keeping & Personal Rights are found to be unsubstantiated. The license is posted in a prominent location when the children are in care. Licensee made several attempts to get the visitor to bring her voice down during an inspection.
Exit interview was conducted with Keywonda Mcdonald, Licensee. Appeal rights was provided to Licensee.
