On 04/22/2026, LPAs Judy Laureano and Cristina Castellanos arrived at the facility to investigate the referenced allegations. LPAs were greeted by Director Michaela Amezquita, and the purpose of the visit was discussed. At approximately 12:20 p.m., owner Angelik was observed in the classroom. LPAs toured all indoor and outdoor areas accessible to children. At the start of the inspection, LPAs observed 31 children with three staff members providing care and supervision, with one additional staff member returning from break. LPAs reviewed staff files, the children’s roster, staff roster, and sign in/out sheets for March 2026 and April 2026. Staff timesheets for both months were also requested and reviewed.
On 05/06/2026, LPA arrived to continue the investigation. LPA was greeted by Director Michaela Amezquita, and the purpose of the visit was discussed. LPA observed three adults dropping off three children in the lobby area. Individuals were observed using the electronic sign in system, and the Director escorted children to their classrooms. All areas used by children were inspected. LPA observed transition periods and, on two separate occasions, observed individuals escorting their children to the classroom. Attendance sheets for 05/06/2026, staff files, and children’s files were reviewed.
On 6/30/2026 LPA Laureano concluded all interviews and reviewed all necessary documents.
Based on the review of staff timesheets, attendance records, the parent handbook, multiple on site observations by LPA, and interviews with parents, staff, and children, no information was disclosed indicating that: staff operated over ratio, staff commingled day care children inappropriately, staff denied parents access to the facility, or staff interrupted children during nap time. There is not enough evidence to prove or disprove the allegations. Although the allegations may have occurred or may be valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to establish that the alleged violations did or did not occur. Therefore, the allegations are determined to be UNSUBSTANTIATED.
An exit interview was conducted with Director Michaela Amezquieta and a copy report was provided. |
