25 | On March 11, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), V. Wheatley and conducted a case management inspection and was met by Licensee, Alicia Minor Borwn. The licensee's assistant, Staff #1 was also present. The purpose of the inspection is for an increase in capacity from small license to a large license. The hours of operation are 6am to 7pm and on the weekends.
LPA toured the home inside and outside. LPA observed 6 children on the premises of which 3 are under 2 years old. LPA observed the children painting in the family room. One infant child was seen by a Regional Therapist in the living room. The licensee is currently using the living room and family room for child care. LPA observed two cribs in the living room for two infants that are enrolled. There are stairs in the home. All day care is conducted on the first floor. There is a child proof gate at the bottom of the stairs. There is a fireplace in the family room which is screened and locked. All toys are age appropriate.
LPA inspected the outdoor area and observed age appropriate equipment. LPA did not observe any pets on the premises and no bodies of water. Licensee states there are no firearms on the premises. Licensee Alicia has required CPR/first aid which expires 10/2026.
LPA observed the home in Title 22 Regulations compliance. No deficiencies observed.
A license for 14 capacity will be granted by the Department when the internal document is received from the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Licensee and fire inspector states the home was inspected by the Gardena Fire Department last week.
Exit interview conducted. A copy of this report was read and provided to the licensee. |
