On 11/04/2025, LPA Clayton conducted an unannounced visit to the Village Tree Preschool to deliver complaint findings on the above-mentioned allegations received at the El Segundo Regional Child Care Office on 10/13/2025. LPA was greeted by Director Makhaila Causey and Site Coordinator Cindy Renderos.
LPA Clayton toured the facility for a Health and Safety inspection and observed 11 infants and 29 preschool children in care, being cared for and supervised appropriately by 12 fingerprint cleared staff.

On 10/14/2025, LPA Clayton toured the CCC inside and outside for a Health and Safety Inspection, reviewed staff files and interviewed staff, and received documents related to the allegations.

Based on LPA Clayton’s thorough investigation, which included inspections, interviews, and observations, the above-mentioned allegations are found to be UNSUBSTANTIATED, meaning that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation(s) did or did not occur.
