32 | On 08/29/2025, LPA Risher conducted interviews with Director and children. LPA requested additional incident reports from the school.
On 09/03/2025, LPA Risher received a copy of the updated roster and the requested incident reports.
On 09/04/2025, LPA Risher conducted additional interviews with staff and children.
Staff stated teachers maintain supervision throughout the day. There is a teacher in each area of the school and the children remain in the teacher’s line of sight. Children stated a teacher is always with them when they play outside and inside. Children are never left without a teacher with them. LPA observed an incident note in the app Brightwheel regarding staff observing children playing with a rope. The teacher took the rope away and stopped the activity prior to anyone getting hurt.
Staff speak to the children about their behavior when they are not listening or behaving. Staff will get at the child’s level to speak to them about their behavior. Staff will have a discussion with children who are having a conflict and explore a solution that will make everyone happy. Children stated they must hold the teacher’s hand when they are not listening.
Staff communicate with parents via an app called Brightwheel. Staff stated information regarding incidents that occurred at the school are sent to the parents on Brightwheel. LPA observed messages that were sent to parents on the app Brightweel. Staff will also have meetings or speak to the parents in person.
A full investigation was conducted which included observations and interviews. Although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the above alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations of Personal Rights, Lack of Supervision and Reporting Requirements are found to be unsubstantiated. Staff maintain supervision throughout the school. Children are spoken to regarding their behavior and explore solutions to conflicts with their friends. Staff communicate with parents on the app Brightwheel. There was insufficient evidence to determine that a Personal Rights, Lack of Supervision and Reporting Requirements violations occurred.
Exit interview was conducted with Joyce Woodruff, Director. Appeal rights was provided to Director.
