25 | On 02/06/2025 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ranita Richmond conducted an ANNOUNCED PRE-LICENSING INSPECTION with applicant Arleen Torres. Hours of operation are Monday – Saturday, 8:00am – 6:00pm. Applicant will provide breakfast, two snacks, and water.
The home was toured with the applicant for a health and safety inspection.
The current facility sketch was reviewed, and LPA Richmond confirmed that home consists of the following: living room, kitchen, dining room, 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, deck, and fenced frontyard.
The Applicant has requested the following rooms be ON-LIMITS: the living room (parent meeting area), dining room (eating area), bathroom, bedroom #2 (napping area), bedroom #3 (main daycare area), and the gated frontyard. The ISOLATION AREA will be in livingroom.
The applicant has requested the OFF-LIMIT AREAS are as follows: bedroom #1 and Kitchen all of which are inaccessible to children in care by child safety gates, closed and/or locked doors and visual supervision.
Parents and children will enter the home through the front door. Entering the living room, to the right is Bedroom #3, inside bedroom #3 is a jack and jill style bathroom that has access to bedroom #2. Inside bedroom #3 is a door that leads to the deck (located in the front yard). Walking straight through the living room, you enter the dining room. To the immediate right of the dining room is bedroom #2. From the dining room straight is Bedroom #1. To the right of bedroom #1 is the kitchen. Through the kitchen is a door that leads to the side of the house.
The home is neat and clean with heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. The FCCH has a working phone and LPA Richmond confirmed the number is 310-***-****. The home has two screened/covered open faced heaters, one in the dining room and one in bedroom #2.
The home has working carbon monoxide/smoke detector combos and fully charged 3A40BC Fire Extinguisher in the kitchen.
