25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Michael Cava conducted an Annual Required visit and inspection of the facility. LPA met with staff, Jane Militante and explained the reason for the visit. Administrators, Ron Basa and Maria Alvir joined shortly after. The home is a level 3 Adult Residential Facility (ARF). It is a one story building.
At approximately 11:40am, with the assistance of Ms. Alvir, LPA took a tour of the physical plant. Required postings were observed in the entry area. The smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors are battery operated. The carbon monoxide is installed in the hallway, by staff and resident room. The fire extinguisher is located in the kitchen. It was purchased on 12/06/24.
Kitchen: The kitchen appliances and fixtures were functional. LPA found a sufficient amount of perishable and non-perishable food at the facility; properly stored. No cleaning supplies were observed to be out and accessible during the day of the inspection. Knives are kept in a locked box, stored in a kitchen cabinet.
Bedrooms: There is a total of five (5) bedrooms. Three (3) bedrooms are designated for residents' use. All three bedrooms are shared rooms. All three bedrooms in use by residents were properly furnished with appropriate beddings and linens with sufficient lighting. The other two bedrooms are designated for staff.
Bathrooms: There are two (2) bathrooms designated for residents' use. Both bathrooms were properly supplied and had functional fixtures. Hot water temperature was measured at 110 degrees Fahrenheit. There were no cleaning supplies observed in the bathrooms.
Common Areas: These included the living room and dining room area. The living room is furnished with two (2) recliners, four (4) chairs, table and television. The fireplace is non-functional. It is blocked by the television and an entertainment center. The dining room table is large enough to accommodate six (6) |
