13 | In conjunction with a Pre-Licesing visit, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Gary Tan and Michael Cava conducted a complaint visit to this facility to investigate the above allegation. LPAs met with the Executive Director (ED), Rena Hirsch, and advised her of the complaint. It's being alleged that Resident 1 (R1) was issued an eviction with no valid reason. Today's visits consisted of a facility inspection, interviews with the ED and R1, and record review. Per interviews and record review, the investigation revealed that the eviction is for a 30 day notice issued on 06/13/2023 for failure to pay. R1 was advised to vacate within 30 days after service of the notice. Review of the eviction letter indicates that R1 is late in rent for the month of June 2023. In addition, interviews with the ED reveal that R1 is late two (2) months with rent for a total of $2649. It was also disclosed that R1 is non-compliant with the house rules in getting along with their peers, and had also gained entry into a restricted area of the facility to access confidential files.
Pursuant to Title 22, Division 6, Chapter 8, section 87224(a) of the CA Code of Regulations, facility demonstrated complienace with Eviction Procedures. Therefore, the allegation of Unlawful Eviction is deemed Unfounded at this time. ED advised and a copy of this report given. |
