At time of arrival children were engaged in free play then transitioned to outdoor play. During inspection LPA observed licensee approach children and interact with children in a calm voice. LPA observed positive child and licensee and Assistant interactions, for example "Be careful," "We do not want you to get hurt," "Come, do you need help." "Would you like to color," "Share." Licensee redirected children offering other outdoor play activity.
During Transition to afternoon snack Licensee Announced "It's snack time, grapes- we are having fruit." Licensee and Assistant guided and attended to children in hand washing and meeting children's need.
Licensee shall maintain current personnel records of each employee at the facility and ensure that all employees have a current certificate of CPR and First aid training on file at the facility. Licensee’s Mandated Reporter certification is dated 3/9/2022 and CPR/First Aid is current expires 6/28/2023. According to Licensee they will be renewing CPR/First Aid prior to expiration date.
Licensee is required to maintain an accurate, complete, and current client roster which must be made available to the Department upon request.
An exit interview was conducted with licensee Virginia Martinez. A copy of this report, appeal rights along with notice of site visit were provided. |
