25 | On 03/19/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Justeene Tamayo conducted an unannounced case management inspection for the corrections of the in ground swimming pool. Upon arrival, LPA Tamayo met with licensee, Laura Almazan who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. LPA did not observe any day care children present at the time of inspection.
Pending capacity increase from report on 02/26/25:
-Vertical spacing of bars to measure no more than 4 inches apart.
-Pool fencing to measure at least 5 feet in height.
-Rescue pole with body hook to measure at 12 feet in fixed length.
During the walk-through, LPA observed the installation of chicken wire along the entire length of the wrought iron fence. The diameter gaps in the chicken wire are less than 1 3/4 in diameter. The chicken wire effectively reduces the vertical spacing between the bars to no more than 4 inches. The total height of the fence is now 5.2 feet, and the vertical clearance from the bottom of the fence to the cement is 2 inches.
The licensee also mentioned purchasing a new rescue pole, which was measured by the LPA at 11.8 feet in length. The licensee indicated difficulty in finding a rescue pole with a fixed length of exactly 12 feet. The LPA will consult with management about the required height for the rescue pole and will inform the licensee whether the current pole is sufficient. All other corrections have been made in compliance with the new pool requirements. Licensee is ready for her capacity increase.
An exit interview was conducted, and a copy of this report was read and provided to licensee on this date, along with a copy of her Notice of Site Visit. |
