25 | On 09/10/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Justeene Tamayo met with Licensee Keyri Winters and Isidra Garcia, who guided analyst on a tour of the facility for a Capacity Increase Inspection. This is a one story, 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home with kitchen/dining, family room, living room, laundry room and garage. There is no pool/spa or body of water on the premises. Upon arrival LPA observed 1 infant, and 3 preschool child in care. Family members residing in the home include 4 adults (2 licensee's, licensee's husband, licensee's adult son, and licensee's adult daughter) and 2 minor children. Facility operation are Monday-Friday 6AM-6PM. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. The requested capacity is 14. The fire department has granted a fire clearance on 09/06/24. Licensee's are advised that as a family childcare home operating at full capacity, she must adhere to the following: Operate with a Maximum of 14 children in care with no more than 3 Infants, also must have 2 school age children enrolled. Or Max. 12 Capacity with no more than 4 infants. A Qualified Assistant must be present when more than 8 children are in care.
Physical Plant: Main care is provided in the living room, family room, and dining room area. Children use the bathroom in hallway on the left. Children have access to the living room, family room, and dining room area. Off limit areas include all bedrooms, bathroom #2, laundry room, and garage. The home was inspected inside and out for safety, clean and orderly, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents/cleaning compounds (under kitchen sink with safety magnet lock), medicines (upper kitchen pantry) and hazardous items (sharp knives in upper kitchen cabinet unreachable to children in care) that can pose a danger to children. LPA observed a fireplace in the the living room to be fully screened. Safe and age appropriate toys, play equipment and materials were observed. |
