25 | On Wednesday, May 14, 2025 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA)Braddock, conducted an unannounced annual Inspection. LPA met with Licensee, Alma Perez who guided LPA on a tour of the home. People who reside in the home are (Licensee and co licensee who are live scanned and have TB skin test on. The large family childcare home operates Monday through Friday 6am to 6pm. At the time of the visit there were 7 children present with 2 staff members.
This is a one-story family home. There is a living room, kitchen, four bedrooms, two bathrooms, laundry area, backyard, and detached garage located in the backyard. The off-limits areas are the two bedrooms and second bathroom. Licensee does provide napping, and four playpens and 14 cots were observed. Licensee provides breakfast, lunch and snacks.
The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. Hanging window blind cords: The cords are inaccessible to children. Pets: there are no pets on premises. Phone service: There is a working land line and cell phone, always charged and kept on Licensee and staff. Transportation: The Licensee does not provide transportation for children.
Licensee Alma Perez informed LPA Braddock that Co licensee KYIAMOWAKI JONES does pick up children who are not enrolled in the Family childcare home as a separate activity and drop them off at the boys and girls club during the day twice a week. LPA informed Licensee Alma that both licensees have the shared responsibility of being in the Family childcare home for 80% of the operating hours. LPA informed Licensee Alma Perez that that outside employment cannot interfere with his duties as a CO-Licensee. LPA Informed Licensee ALMA that Temporary absences shall not exceed 20 percent of the hours that the facility is providing care per day.
