32 | LPA entered the bathroom and observed the toilet, hand washing sink, hand soap. LPA reminded licensee to personal items like keep shampoos, mouthwash, razors, toothpaste, and other hazardous items need to be made inaccessible to all children in care.
LPA inspected the kitchen and observed it to be maintained in safe, sanitary, and good repair condition. LPA observed that knives are stored in kitchen drawer with child proof lock making them inaccessible to children in care. Cleaning compounds are stored underneath the kitchen sink cabinet with child proof lock. Licensee stated she provides breakfast, snacks, and lunch for children in care. LPA reminded licensee that if children bring their own food, it must be properly sealed and labeled with child’s name.
LPA inspected the back yard for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. LPA observed age-appropriate toys and play equipment that were in good repair. Back yard fence all around. Shaded areas are available for children's use. LPA observed a play structured with no padding underneath it. License stated children don’t use the play structure off limits by being blocked with other toys and supervision when children are playing outside. Per licensee and LPA observation there is no pools/bodies of water on premises.
Licensee stated there is no smoking in the home. Per recorded documentation, Fire drill completed on 7/16/26 and earthquake drill on 8/19/26. Per licensee, there are no weapons/firearms on the premises.
LPA review a sampling of children’s files at the time of the inspection and facility roster. LPA requested sleep log for child under 24 months. Per licensee she though she did not have to do it after child turn one. Technical Violation issue. LPA informed licensee sleeping logs need to be completed for children under 24 months. LPA reviewed Assistant file missing immunization MMR & Tdap. Technical Violation Issued. LPA observe licensee’s First Aid/ CPR AED dated 11/9/25 licensee has the wrong first aid/CPR. Type B violation is given Health and Safety Code Section 102416(c). Mandated reporter certificate dated 7/13/25.
