32 | The children utilize the restroom in the playroom. LPA observed childcare bathroom to be in safe and operating condition with no hazardous materials. Toilet and faucet are in good operable condition. Licensee maintains sink cabinet lock with childproof locks.
Kitchen in main home is accessible to children. LPA inspected the kitchen for safety, sanitation, and good repair. LPA reminded Licensee, if food is brought from the child’s home, the container shall be labeled with the child’s name and properly stored or refrigerated. Licensee provides children with breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, and dinner as needed. LPA observe knives and sharp items stored in high upper kitchen cabinets, made inaccessible to children in care.
Children utilize the back yard for outdoor play. The back yard is fenced all around and is enclosed. LPA inspected for safety, cleanliness, good repair, age-appropriate toys/equipment, and shady areas.
LPA Avalos asked licensee if there are any pets, poisons, firearms, weapons, or bodies of water. Licensee stated there is no pets, poisons, firearms, weapons or bodies or water in the premises. LPA did not observe poisons, firearms, weapons, nor bodies of water. Licensee was informed that if any poisons (ex; drano, rat poison or items that fall into that category), firearms and weapons are it is required to be locked with a key or combination lock, and firearm and ammunition must be stored separately.
First Aid Kit was observed in top of cubbies made inaccessible to children. Per recorded documentation, Fire/Disaster drill last completed 08/12/2025.LPA reminded licensee Fire/Disaster drill needs to be completed every six months. Electrical outlets made inaccessible. There is a working telephone (cell phone).
LPA reviewed a sampling of children’s files which included all required documents. LPA reviewed Licensee and one assistant files which included all documentation. Licensee Pediatric CPR/First Aid expired on 03/2026. Licensee Mandated Reporter training expired on 05/2026.
