32 | At approximately 10:34 a.m. LPA Rivera observed cleaning compounds items stored underneath kitchen sink with a childproof lock making it inaccessible for children to open. LPA observed knives and sharp objects to be stored in the kitchen drawer with a childproof lock in place, making it inaccessible for children to open. For water drinking, applicants stated, filtered water will be provided and sippy cups. The applicants stated they will be providing meals and snacks for the children. LPA informed applicants food brought from the children's homes, the container shall be labeled with the child's name and properly stored or refrigerated.
At approximately 10:39 a.m., LPA Rivera entered the bathroom and observed the toilet, hand washing sink, hand soap and LPA observed the bottom sink cabinets closed. LPA did not observe hazard materials and observed the bathroom to be in good condition. LPA reminded applicant any personal items (ex; shampoo, toothpaste, mouthwash, or items that fall into that category) must be made inaccessible to children.
LPA Rivera asked applicants if there are any pets, poisons, firearms, weapons, or bodies of water. Applicants stated they have no pets, no poisons and no firearms, no weapons and has a jacuzzi. LPA did not observe pets, poisons, firearms, nor weapons. LPA observed an above ground jacuzzi. LPA observed locks on each side of the cover. LPA observed a total of 4 side release buckle locks. The locks require a key to release the buckle locks. Applicant was informed that if any poisons (ex; drano, rat poison or items that fall into that category), firearms and weapons are purchased, it is required to be locked with a key or combination lock and firearm and ammunition/firing pins must be stored separately.
At approximately 10:45 a.m. LPA Rivera observed the required 2A10BC fire extinguisher located in the hallway with the valve on the green area indicating fully charged. LPA observed the purchased receipt dated 1/23/2024. LPA observed a dual carbon monoxide detector and smoke alarm located in the hallway. LPA tested the dual carbon monoxide and smoke alarm. LPA Rivera heard the sound and is operable. LPA observed the first aid complete with band aids, gauzes, adhesive bandages, and antiseptic wipes and located in the closet located by the main entrance. For ill isolation, applicants stated the daycare bedroom will be utilized. |
