On 5/16/2023 at 11:00am Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) V. Wheatley met with owner/director Gyoungok Park regarding the above allegtations. LPA was guided on a tour of the infant room. LPA observed two infants (two children under 2 years old).

LPA inspected the kitchen and observed food that should be refrigerated on the counter. LPA also observed cooked rice. In addition, LPA observed spoiled vegatables in the refrigerator. The staff serve snack, lunch and dinner to the children.

LPA questioned staff about the fire drills. Director states disaster drills are not being conducted and does not have proof to show the fire or earthquake drills are being conducted.

Based on the information obtained through observations and interviews, the allegations are substantiated. A substantiated finding means that the complaint is substantiated and the allegation is valid because the preponderance of the evidence standard has been met.

An exit interview conducted. A copy of the report will be provided.

The director will clean two refrigerators and discard all old and spoiled food immediately. The director will ensure the food is healthy and not spoiled or expired. The director will submit a plan of correction to the Department by 5/23/2023.

LPA inspected the kitchen and observed old food (vegetables) in the refrigerator which was displaying progressive growth. In addition, LPA observed meat on the counter which should have been refrigerated and rice from yesterday. This is a potential risk to the health and safey of children in care.

The director will clean two refrigerators, oven, mircowave, counter tops and sinks. The director will ensure the kitchen stays clean at all times. The director will submit a plan of correction to the Department by 5/23/23.

LPA inspected the kitchen and observed unclean kitchen with food (cereal) in the sink and unclean refrigerators. The two refrigerators have an abundance of food that is old or not being used. This is a potential risk to the health and safety of children in care.

On 5/16/2023 at 11:00am Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) V. Wheatley met with owner/director Gyoungok Park regarding the above allegtations. LPA was guided on a tour of the preschool. LPA observed two infant children under 2 years old.

LPA inspected all of the classrooms and did not observe any broken toys inside of the facility. LPA interview Staff members who state the toys are cleaned regularly. LPA observed disinfectant spray and wipes on the premises.

Based on the observation, information obtained and interviews conducted the allegation is Unsubstantiated. Although the allegation may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove or disapprove the allegation, therefore the allegation is found to be unsubstantiated.
