32 | LPA inspected and observed clean bathrooms (toilets and sinks). The toilets and sinks are functioning properly and are age appropriate. LPA observed soap, toilet paper, and paper towels readily available. The water temperature is appropriate. The staff restrooms are located near the kitchen.
LPA observed a fully stocked first aid kit. The center completed a Fire Drill/Earthquake on 10/12/22, and a current Roster is available through Bright Wheel.
The parent board was reviewed and has all the required forms posted. Before children arrive at the center health screenings are done by guardians through Bright Wheel and temperature checks are conducted throughout the day. There are currently no children in care with IMS needs in this site. There is a separate area for isolation and care of ill children in the preschool office. The facility uses a digital sign-in sheet. Sign-in and out sheets were reviewed on Bright Wheel.
Children and staff records were reviewed. LPA verified there is at least 1 staff person present with current CPR and First Aid Training.
The preschool and toddler outdoor play equipment was inspected for health, safety, cushioning material, good repair, and age appropriateness. The play area has has a a cushioned area, sand box and concrete for children to play. LPA Dorsey observed all area under the children's play equipment to be cushioned. LPA Dorsey observed the children outside to have their water bottles. The play area was found to be free of hazards and inaccessibility to bodies of water.
Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. |
