Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Maddox met with Ashley Alva, Director today for the purpose of conducting an unannounced Case Management inspection. The Director is requesting to close her SA program and incorporate that capacity into her PS program. Present today were 21 PS children and 10 Toddlers (napping) with 4 Staff. Each component always maintains a physical separation. The hours of operation are 6:00 AM - 5:30 PM Monday - Friday.

Director is anticipating closing the SA component, which was licensed for 6, and incorporating that capacity into her PS component, this will give the center an overall capacity of 28 PS and 12 Toddlers.

The room measured 7 X 28 = 196/35 = 6.

There are a total of 3 toilets and 3 sinks available for PS children. LPA observed the bathrooms to be clean and sanitary, with soap, toilet paper and paper towels readily available. Toilets and sinks are functioning properly and age appropriate.

Honorable Mention, this center was awarded Valley Press, Antelope Valley Best for 2022.

Outdoor play equipment was inspected for health, safety, cushioning material, good repair and age appropriateness. The play area has cushioned playground material and concrete. There is an area for rest (canopy). Water pitcher and filled water bottles are brought out during outdoor play. Play area was inspected and found to be free of hazards and inaccessibility to bodies of water. Separate playground schedule for school-age, preschool, and toddler children. Outdoor Waiver is posted in the lobby. Jungle gym is anchored to the ground. There is a bike path and other age appropriate toys.

As a result of this inspection, the capacity increase will be granted, exit interview conducted and a copy of this report was signed and left with Director.
